America Reads Retired and Senior Volunteer Program 1 hour or more, weekdays 14 volunteers, minimum age 55
Reading is a key to success in education and life. Unfortunately, many children fall behind in school because they do not learn to read early and well. Did you know that four out of ten fourth-graders can't read to grade level? If you can read, you can help. We are looking for tutors and reading helpers to assist area elementary school students. Please make a difference in the life of a child and volunteer.
